Virgil Edwards has lived with bi-polar disorder and multiple physical disabilities for 25 years. A strong proponent for the Independent Living movement, he had always wanted to work for DAC and started with us 6 years ago as an Independent Living Trainer with an extensive understanding of ADA requirements. With many successes behind him in advocating for the rights of people with disabilities in the Coeur d’Alene area, he understands what processes are needed for individuals to succeed at effecting change at a grass roots level.
Edwards says, “Even negative issues can turn out to be positive. I try to make sure that I set my day and not let life dictate to me.”
