Disability Action Center NW to have letter writing event

Disability Action Center NW will have a free letter writing event for people with disabilities to tell their stories to state legislators at 1 p.m. Feb. 4 at the organization’s Lewiston office at 330 Fifth St., Lewiston. Supplies and refreshments will be available.

The event is open to Idahoans with a disability who use home- and community-based services and direct care workers. The letters will be delivered by Disability Action Center NW during Operation Advocacy Day on Feb. 21. The letters are part of an advocacy campaign to raise awareness about the current in-home caregiver crisis in Idaho.
