Participants will learn and explore strategies for return to school following concussion in children. The conference will offer an opportunity for participants to network with colleagues and experts.
As a result of this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Describe how the school environment presents struggles for students with brain injury by listing at least 3 potential barriers.
- Apply evidence-based strategies when supporting students with brain injury and be able to summarize how these strategies will be used in future work with students with brain injury.
- Associate evidence-based approaches for managing concussion in various situations and settings with improved student outcomes.
- Describe at least 5 key points from current literature about successful return to school programs.
