The Washington State Traumatic Brain Injury Council provides Support Groups throughout the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) that emphasize education and interpersonal support. The TBI Support Goops are predicated on the concept that a person-centered approach can empower and enrich an individual’s life following a Traumatic Brain Injury.

DSHS and the TBI Council also provide an array of FREE services for information and referral, plus a wealth of resources. Additional information can be found at the DSHS TBI Resources Link.
This past year, we have also recently launched the “Traumatic Brain Injury, Level 1, Capable Caregiving for Brain Injury” Course. This 8 hr. course can be delivered virtually to help those working with persons that have a TBI; such as providers, families, and caregivers to better understand their needs, communication skills, and also understand the basics of a TBI. There is also the option to deliver this material in a shorter version that does not include CEUs, if general information only is desired.
Thank you for your assistance in helping us reach out to these agencies across Washington.
If you have additional questions or would like more information feel free to contact me at any point.
