Share Your Story – About the Direct Care Crisis

The Our Care Can’t Wait (OCCW) Coalition and the Idaho Center on Disabilities and Human Development are excited to announce an upcoming workshop. This workshop is in response to the direct care workforce crisis. At this event, training will be provided for those interested in participating in a letter-writing campaign to educate legislators on the importance of home and community-based service and impact of the current workforce crisis on the disability community.

In this training, we will cover tips for advocacy through storytelling, how one might structure their letter, and support for participants to write letters.   Letter-writing materials will be provided.

This workshop will be on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 3 pm-5 pm. It will be held in the Prairie Conference Room at the Idaho CDHD, 1187 Alturas Dr, Moscow, ID 83843.
