DAC NW Plans for ADA Celebrations

With a region of Idaho that covers from the Canadian border to Riggins, Idaho, how do you have just one ADA Celebration? You have two!  Moscow will be hosting a celebration on July 22 in Mountain View Park from 10am -1 pm. Fly High with the ADA will be the theme with cute kites to give out to kids. A free BBQ lunch will be provided and a resource fair with information on all kinds or services in our area. Information on emergency planning will be presented by the Idaho SILC. And there will be a free vaccine clinic. Everyone is welcome to attend!

Our Post Falls office will be hosting theirs on July 23 at Riverstone Park in Coeur d’Alene from 10am to 2pm. A special ceremony will be held at the new accessible dock by the water. Gaining access to the water has been a challenge for someone in a wheelchair or with mobility issues. Coeur d’Alene is committed to changing that. The biggest thing about the water is it’s an equalizer. The freedom of being on the water is indescribable. There are more and more accessible recreation and outdoor facilities being developed all the time. And DAC would like to showcase this latest one.

This will be followed by a free hot dog lunch, snow cones, loads of information on services from vendors for people with disabilities in the area, and raffle prizes!
