Young Adults – Next Chapter is part of this vision to build skills needed for employment after high school. We feel everyone’s unique strength contribute to a thriving economy.
By working together with other CIL’s, Idaho DVR, Idaho Parents Unlimited, we can coordinate secondary transition planning and services to help students with disabilities. We provide practical tools and supports all the way through the process.
How can you get involved?
- If you are an educator of youth with disabilities ages 10-24, we can help with transition planning in your curriculum.
- If you are an employer, we would love to help with the training process for new employees.
- And for youth and their families: you can access out resources and get connected.

What to expect?
An interview process that is student led. We listen! After formulating a plan together about next steps, we provide the skills needed to gain employment. That could be resume building, application filling, summer work of volunteering for experience, interview skills, documents needed to be employed, finding and helping you apply for the job YOU want that best suits your abilities.
But it goes beyond that. What would independent living mean to you? Your own place? A group home? What about social skills and accessing recreation opportunities in your community? Interested in more school or tech training? Learning to be an advocate for your specific needs. Leadership skills? All of this and more!
It’s your life – and we can help you write the next chapter.
