Casting a Wider Net:DAC’s Inclusive Peer Fishing Group

There’s something deeply refreshing about spending time near the water, fishing pole in hand, surrounded by friends both old and new. At DAC, we’re proud to introduce our Bi-Weekly Peer Fishing Group, a community initiative designed to bring everyone together, with a special emphasis on welcoming people with disabilities.

This isn’t simply a group for disabled fishing enthusiasts; rather, it’s a vibrant fishing community intentionally created to include and empower people of all abilities. Everyone is welcome, and everyone belongs. Our outings take place at ADA accessible fishing spots, as listed on the WDFW website, ensuring maximum comfort, safety, and ease of participation for all attendees.

No fishing gear? No problem! DAC provides everything you need to reel in your catch, from rods and reels to bait and tackle. Of course, seasoned anglers are encouraged to bring their personal gear if they prefer. Participants with disabilities don’t need to worry about individual fishing licenses, as DAC’s group license covers them.

This group’s ultimate goal goes far beyond just catching fish. It’s about fostering meaningful social interactions, cultivating friendships, appreciating nature, and developing fishing skills in an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere.

Come join us by the water, experience the joy of fishing, and make connections that go deeper than the waters we fish in. For more details about upcoming fishing trips and locations, contact DAC NEW today. We hope we can catch you out there!
