News from DAC NW – Hosting the 3rd Annual ADA Celebration

DAC NW is looking forward to “Bridging Communities” – the 2025 Celebration in Riverfront Park on July 26th.

Disability is a universal experience that crosses every race, culture, gender, and economic background. It doesn’t discriminate. It can affect anyone at any time in their life, whether from birth, illness, injury, or aging. In every community, people with disabilities bring unique perspectives, talents, and resilience. We are trying to build a truly inclusive society – one where everyone has an equal opportunity to participate.

The day’s events start at 11am in the park by the fountain. You will be greeted a number of tables with free swag, t-shirts while supplies last, and loads of information. Collect your free coupons for a main dish and a dessert and enjoy a free lunch on us. Food Trucks include Asian Fusion by Mixed Plate, ice cream and sno cones, kettle corn and cotton candy.

A Resource Fair with over 18 different vendors offers information and services for people with disabilities. And there is also a World Market with locally made crafts. There will be a Kids Zone with face painting, puzzles and crafts too.
