OFFERING FUN ACTIVITIES FOR AUGUST
LIFE Inc has a variety of fun, accessible activities for consumers at all of their locations in August. In Pocatello you can choose between Mini Golf or the Wednesday Craft Class – coffee filter butterflies. In Idaho Falls you can join a tour of the Museum of Idaho for their exhibit on flight, and they too have a craft class – rock painting! In Blackfoot they have a group going to the Bannock Fair in Shoshone.
In Burley they can help you learn the best time to harvest your garden, or attend the Cassia County Fair Parade. Their craft class will be learning origami.
But it’s not just these fun things available at LINC. They offer hands on, real life independent living skills. For example: does the idea of filling out an application form intimidate you? They can help make it a little less confusing. They offer skills training on daily life activities like shaving, budgeting, mental health skills, and eating smart. You can also learn about housing resources, and historical information on the Americans with Disabilities Act and advocacy.
They also have a youth summer program that focuses on getting ready for the next step in your life. Cooking, vehicle maintenance, scheduling medical appointments, keeping your home clean are just some of the classes they offer. They also have fun activities planned too. You can go to the craft classes, join a movie or a book club, and learn advocacy skills too.
All of their information is available in their bi-monthly newsletter and on their website.
