Celebrating National Disability Employment Awareness Month
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) — a time to celebrate the contributions of workers with disabilities and recommit to building inclusive workplaces.
At LINC Idaho Works, we help Idahoans with disabilities prepare for, find, and keep meaningful employment through Social Security’s Ticket to Work program. As the Ticket to Work contact for the entire state of Idaho, we connect people who receive SSDI or SSI with career services and supports to achieve their employment goals. Learn more at lincidahoworks.org.
LINC also serves as a Center for Independent Living in Southwest Idaho, where we provide peer support, resources, and advocacy to help people with disabilities reach their desired level of independence. Details are available at lincidaho.org.
We are proud to partner with the American Dream Employment Network (ADEN) and the National Disability Institute (NDI). Together, we strengthen opportunities for people with disabilities to enter the workforce, build financial stability, and increase economic inclusion. Learn more about their work at nationaldisabilityinstitute.org/aden.
This NDEAM, we celebrate progress — and the partnerships that make it possible. If you or someone you know receives SSDI or SSI and is interested in working, contact us today. The first step toward greater independence could begin now.
