Self Awareness & Advocacy

If everyone were the same, life would be kinda lame. Let’s take a moment to focus on someone really important….YOU!  This activity is all about getting to know yourself better. What makes you unique, what you care about, and what makes you YOU. Below is a list of qualities. Look through them and choose at lease 10 that you feel describe you best. P.S. You are not limited by the list!

Kind    Trustworthy    Patient    Creative     Curious    Open-Minded    Honest    Loyal    Friendly    Smart    Independent    Responsible    Funny    Outgoing    Caring    Wise    Learner    Respectful    Thoughtful    Observant    Organized    Determined    Confident    Helpful    Thinker    Brave    Hardworking    Focused   Supportive    Generous    Calm    Optimistic    Humble    Communicator    Supportive     Resourceful    Encouraging    Understanding    Forgiving    Accepting    Team-player    Artistic    Expressive    Adventurous    Musical    Energetic    Passionate    Unique    Imaginative

Now that you have picked your qualities, sort them into two groups: Strengths and Weaknesses.

Think about what you are really good at and proud of (strengths), and what you’re still working on or want to improve (weaknesses). Think honestly about your experiences so far with others, friends, family, or anyone you have a relationship with.

**Hint: Sometimes the things we don’t like about ourselves can actually be our superpowers, we just don’t see it yet.

Learning more about yourself offers numerous benefits for your personal and your professional life. Improved decision making about your life, enhanced relationships with people you are involved with, improved resilience for handling difficult times, better problem solving skills, increased self-esteem and confidence to tackles what’s next in your life.

Ultimately, self-awareness helps you live a more intentional and fulfilling life.
