Disability Travel Blogger Visits Idaho!
Corey from Curb Free with Corey Lee recently spent some time in Boise and southwest Idaho taking in the sights! On his travel blog he shares information about how to travel, where to travel, and most importantly, WHY travel as a person with a disability.
On a beautiful day in Boise, Id, he had a chance to visit three accessible parks: Esther Simplot Park with paved paths and views of the water, Kathryn Albertson Park with a variety of paved loop trails, and Ann Morrison Park with 150 acres to explore.
He had a chance to visit Old Idaho Penitentiary, where it was mostly accessible. And what was on the second floor they offered to show pictures of. The paved sidewalks from building to building were installed last year! And did you know, this prison housed men, women, and even children? The youngest inmate was only 10 years old!
He visited the Basque Block, where multiple Basque restaurants, and a historical museum trace the history of the immigration of Basque people from Spain and part of France.
From exploring many of Boise’s accessible parks to visiting Craters of the Moon, Corey took in all the sites!
You can read all about his adventures at his website – or you can follow him on Facebook.
