SUMMARY:Peer 2 Peer Parkinson's Disease Support Group
DESCRIPTION:Exercise can slow down the progression of Parkinson’s disease\, but so can certain diets. This month we will talk about the MIND diet\, which stands for Mediterranean-DASH Diet Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay. It was created by Dr. Martha Clare Morris\, a nutritional epidemiologist\, who combined the Mediterranean diet with the DASH diet\, tweaked them\, and studied the results. She found the MIND diet delayed the onset of Parkinson’s disease\, but it also slowed its progression in those who already had the disease. Come join your fellow Parkinsonians to learn more about the MIND diet and see if it can be helpful for you.
