James Pickard lost the use and feeling in his right arm a number years ago. A walk in visit to DAC resulted in his working here the past nine years as an Independent Living Specialist.  James knows the only certainty in life is change. He coordinates the durable medical equipment  donation and disbursement plan making wheelchairs and other equipment available to the people with disabilities at no charge. He is our “go-to” for Assistive Technology equipment and service animals that makes life easier for the disability community. One of our YouTube coordinators he enjoys access to media and a local “Radio DJ”  on Radio Free Moscow. He is also a person qualified for Benefits Planning through Idaho Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.

A huge fan of ongoing learning, his favorite quote is “I am a brother to dragons and a companion to owls.”
