Wheelchair Awareness Event

Join Disability Action Center NW as we provide in-person experience with navigating a community with a wheelchair. This is an excellent opportunity for city employees to learn first hand the barriers faced by people with mobility disabilities. Businesses can learn ways to make sure the access to their storefront is fully accessible.  DAC NW will be bringing their new Wheelchair Obstacle Course, built by engineering students from Washington State University. Anyone can explore what it’s like to use a wheelchair and face typical barriers in the community. Free and open to the public.
