Veterans with Disabilities – VDC Program

Connecting with other Veterans

Have you ever wished you could just talk to another veteran with the same disability as you? Make the Connection is a website with thousands of veterans telling their stories: about negative moods and emotions, physical symptoms, relationship changes, and cognitive symptoms. They talk about their experiences and challenges.

Many have turned to drugs or alcohol during these times. Their stories of how they conquered that fight and have moved on with their lives can offer support and help to other veterans

They discuss blindness, PTSD, MST, and other disabilities. They even have connections with spouses of veterans who are going through this stuff.

The stories are personal, from the heart, and they discuss how they found help, discovered a new purpose in life, and they want to share their discoveries with other veterans.

The website is easy to use. You can filter by topic to find something appropriate for you. You can screen by symptoms your experiencing, or if you know your condition you can go directly to other veterans experiencing that. Watch, read and listen to other veterans, find useful information and local resources.
